Shipowner Alex Larang and his family become the center of intrigue and murder. Helmer and Sigurdson embark on an investigation in which their former colleague, Trond Steen, comes under scrutiny. He has been suspended from the police force after killing a man in a scuffle, and now he is forced to flee after being spotted at the scene of two murders.
