Aimer (pronounced "Eh-Meh") is a Japanese singer-songwriter renowned for her distinctive, husky vocal tone, a result of vocal cord damage from overuse in her youth. This unique voice, often described as both haunting and soothing, became her signature. Debuting in 2011 with the single "Rokutousei no Yoru," she quickly gained prominence through her contributions to major anime soundtracks. Her career was catapulted by the hit "Brave Shine" (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works) and the massively popular "Kataomoi" (Your Lie in April).
